The committee
Every year, we elect a committee of nine people to manage the club day to day. These people are volunteers and have a range of roles to keep the club healthy and active. The Chair keeps everything running smoothly while the Diving Officer has ultimate responsibility for our diving operations and their safety. They work alongside other club officers like the Treasurer, Secretary, Training Officer and Equipment Officer.  On top of that we have lots of other volunteers working in the background such as the person who runs this website, people who look after Social media, the person who liases with the Pool, The person who organises the ‘Come and Try It’s’, others helping with equipment maintenance. Under the Training Officer we have people supervising the different levels of training. We then have all of the Traineers. We have a Membership Secretary and even someone who keeps an eye on if we are keeping up with best practice as well as a Safeguarding Officer. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer. In fact the more volunteers the better, that way the load is shared and the club runs smoothly.

Club activities

There are a million ways to get involved. Our members volunteer to arrange dives or assist to run dives, plan trips, host training. The club would not be able to run without all of the volunteers. We tend to be an active club. Each Wednesday night we have a ‘Shout’ at 9pm to make announcements and plan future dives. This is at the Meadowbrook centre.
